Vessel Discharge form
Prerequisites
To access this form, you need to assign the Vessel - Discharge privilege to your user role.
The Vessel Discharge form enables you to discharge units from a vessel. Generally, XPS manages the vessel discharge operations. Occasionally, it may miss a vessel activity that the operations department at your facility must complete using this form. You can also use this form to manually discharge a vessel for non-XPS operations.
To discharge a unit from a vessel:
From the Visit Reference lookup field, select a vessel visit.
The lookup field displays only vessel visits that are either in the Arrived or Working phase.
In the Digits field, enter the last five to seven characters of the unit ID that uniquely identify the unit, or the complete unit ID.
The selected unit must:
Be on the selected vessel
Use the On-Board tab in the Vessel Inspector to view all the containers on the selected vessel.
Not have any active holds or required permissions that prevent you from discharging the unit.
Have the current facility as the Port of Discharge.
: For Through containers, N4 does not validate the POD unless the Restow Type is set to NONE in the Sparcs Details form.
In the Yard Slot field, enter the yard block where you want to place the unit after you discharge it from the selected vessel.
Click Save.
When you discharge a unit from a vessel, N4:
Records a UNIT_DISCH event in the event history of the unit
You can view the event using the History, Events tab in the Unit Inspector. The UNIT_DISCH event traces the previous and new Position of the selected unit.
You can define general notices to be triggered against record of this event using the General Notices form. General notice email will be triggered for every container that is discharged from vessel upon record of UNIT_DISCH event. (DOC-2409)
Sets the transit state of the selected unit as Yard
Removes the unit from the list on the On-Board tab in the Vessel Inspector of the selected vessel visit
